Coffee, wine, olive oil … through these gastronomic excellences, and many others, we will take you on a journey through authentic Italy linked to traditions.
Knowing the history and origins of each product, the cultivation, processing and transformation techniques, not only will you please your palates, but you will become more attentive and aware consumers.
Coffee will be the great protagonist of this experience: perfumes, blends and anecdotes linked to a product of excellence that comes from exotic and distant countries, but which part of those daily gestures of every Italian’s life and which, incredibly, will enrich you with emotions and new knowledge.
Arrival at Rome airport. Reception by our Tour manager and our driver. Panoramic tour of the capital and transfer to your hotel in the centre. Accommodation in hotel in Rome for 2 nights. Dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Guided tour of Ancient Rome: the Flavian amphitheater known as the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, once the center of political and religious life in the city.

In the afternoon we will begin our journey into the world of coffee with a first 3-hour course on the origin and history of coffee. The course is held in a highly specialized cafeteria and coffee roaster in Rome.
The coffees you will find come from all over the world and bring with them the history of a supply chain of producers, agronomists, importers, roasters, baristas….
During the course you will receive general notions on coffee plants, from geography to botanical varieties. From fruit to beans: the coffee sector as a whole, harvesting, processing, roasting, packaging and the role of the barista… to become more aware consumers.
Al At the end of the course, a small aperitif will be organized and you will receive a certificate of participation as a souvenir of this wonderful experience.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour of the baroque squares of the city center: Piazza Navona and its famous Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini, the Pantheon, an ancient Roman temple transformed into a church in the 7th century and which supports an enormous dome, the largest of all antiquity. We continue towards Parliament Square and then the Trevi Fountain.
Free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, departure for Tuscany. Stop in the splendid city of Orvieto for a walk in its elegant historic center with its grandiose cathedral.
Accommodation in a hotel-farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside for 2 nights. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
In the morning guided tour of Siena: Piazza Campo, the Torre del Mangia, Palazzo Vecchio, and the marvelous Cathedral.

In the afternoon stop at a wine producer in Montalcino. Visit of his vineyard and cellar to end with a tasting of 3 wines accompanied by local cured meats.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Departure for Florence and guided tour of the historic center: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore with its magnificent dome, the Baptistery and its monumental doors made by great Florentine artists such as Michelangelo and Ghiberti, the facade of Palazzo Vecchio, the Ponte Vecchio, etc.

In the afternoon at the ACCADEMIA dell’ESPRESSO in Florence you will participate in a 3-hour workshop to learn the techniques for preparing the perfect cappuccino and Latte Art (the art of decorating the milk froth of a cappuccino).
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Montecatini Terme, where you will stay for 4 nights.
Departure for La Spezia with your bus. From here you will then reach the small port of Manarola by train, a fishing village surrounded by terraced vineyards. Continue by train to Vernazza, stroll through the small centre. Free time for lunch. We end the visit of the Cinqueterre with the village of Monterosso. Free time, and then return by boat to La Spezia. Transfer by bus to Montecatini, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Today, crossing the gentle hills of Chianti, we will reach San Giminiano, a medieval village famous for its towers. Walk in San Gimignano and free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit a olive oil producer who will explain the various stages of production and the secrets for recognizing a good olive oil, even at the supermarket! Guided tasting of various olive oils paired with bruschetta.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Montecatini.
In the morning guided tour of Pisa: the Piazza dei Miracoli with the Cathedral and the Baptistery and the famous Leaning Tower. In the afternoon, we continue to Lucca with its medieval walls still well preserved and which completely surround the city.
Dinner is scheduled in a farm producing wines, olive oil, cheese and cured meats, located on the hills around Montecatini. Return to Montecatini for overnight stay.
In the morning guided tour of the historic center of Venice: the Basilica of San Marco and the homonymous square and from which you can admire the sumptuous Palazzo Ducale with its interior (the Sala del Maggior Consiglio, the Sala dei Dieci, the apartments of the Doges, the Scala dei Giganti), the Bell Tower, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs..

The afternoon will be dedicated to the last stage of our journey into the world of coffee: you will participate in a workshop of about 1 hour of coffee tasting in a small ROASTING, the only one in the historic center of Venice: the course includes the preparation of the blend, from the selection of raw coffee, the roasting and finally the tasting of 2 coffees. During the course you will also learn about the history of this Roasting which dates back to 1930 and which for over 80 years has roasted coffee by hand every day with the same passion, between jute sacks and steam cups over the years. The coffee blends are still handcrafted and come from the best parts of the world.
Free time for dinner, overnight in Venice.
